The colourless area at the top between the lead and the frame is open as the glass followed the shape of the stonework in the church .. It was removed from a Church in Huddersfield West Yorkshire during refurbishement . Beautiful hand painted design. Amazing vibrant colours. It is an attribute of this heavy old glass to collect and softly diffuse the colours of the light falling upon it. The handpainting is crisp and bright with no sign of fading, a true work of art.
