5192 Angel Wings SOLD Antique Stained Glass Window Angel Aloft CIRCA 1830This beautiful antique window had to be removed from its very heavy wooden frame to make it possible to handle it. The ancient lead cames were crumbling badly and so all were replaced Each individual pane of hand painted glass was thoroughly cleaned and expertly re set in the lead cames. The restoration of this window took many weeks.The shear size of the window. necessitated that it should be placed in three separate frames. Three separate photos were taken and displayed together as the window will be when housed in a single frame. The joints are a perfect match and not out of line like the photographs. The church of origin is questionable. I have been given the names of five churches demolished by the company who finaly sold it after some years of storage. This window is now in perfect condition after a one hundred percent restoration job. A number of other windows from the same church were used in replacing every broken pane thus making this one perfect. Window measures.
